We will be hosting a number of seasoned professionals who will briefly share their career paths and areas of expertise, and then we will have time for members to get to know them one-to-one or in small groups. Our hope is that mentorship pairs will emerge from this evening!

We will be learning about the impressive efforts that Dr. Frank Caro and Ruth Seidman of Brookline Community Aging Network and Andrea Burns of the Age-Friendly Boston Initiative have taken to make their cities accessible for older residents by using guidelines from the World Health Organization.

Innovative Solutions in the Workplace

We will be learning from Dr. Marcie Pitt-Catsouphes, Boston College School of Social Work Professor and Director of the Center on Aging & Work. Marcie founded the Social Innovation Lab at Boston College and will be leading an interactive session to guide us in generating transformational solutions to problems.

Boston Bridge Conversations

We will be hosting our first annual “Boston Bridge Conversations” otherwise known as “BBC”. We have noticed that members enjoy the time to network at the end of meetings, and we want to have more time and space for that, so at our next meeting we will have some structured small group discussions for the first hour and in the second hour we will have time to socialize and eat together.
