The MIT AgeLab was created in 1999 through the leadership of Dr. Joseph Coughlin to invent new ideas and creatively translate technologies into practical solutions that improve people’s health and enable them to “do things” throughout the lifespan. Today, the MIT AgeLab is a multidisciplinary research program working to improve the quality of life of older adults and those who care for them. Join us for an interactive walking tour of the lab as we hear from the researchers, learn about opportunities to engage with the lab, and demo a few of their research tools and technologies.

If using an MIT map, the Muckley Building is building E40. It is located across the street from the Tang Building and on the corner of Amherst and Wadsworth St. It is also across from the Alfred P. Sloan and Hermann buildings, about 600 ft. away from the MIT Sloan School of Management building where Boston Bridge meetings are usually held. Parking is available at the Tang Building (2 Amherst St). (Parking is still available despite the detours.)
